New Delhi Election Results 2025: AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal is currently leading from the New Delhi constituency with 4,679 votes, holding a margin of 254 votes, while BJP’s Parvesh Verma is trailing with 4,425 votes. Congress’ Sandeep Dikshit is trailing by a significant margin of 3,937 votes as of 10 am, according to the Election Commission.

While Arvind Kejriwal is leading, other AAP leaders are struggling to gain ground. In Kalkaji, Delhi’s outgoing chief minister Atishi is trailing with 7,465 votes, while BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri is leading with 8,807 votes, according to ECI data at 10 am.
Similarly, AAP heavyweight Manish Sisodia is trailing in Jangpura, lagging by 2,800 votes behind BJP’s Tarvinder Singh Marwah, who is leading with 4,114 votes as per ECI trends at 10 am.
New Delhi Assembly seat: Past results
In the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal retained the New Delhi constituency, defeating BJP’s Sunil Kumar Yadav by 21,697 votes. The seat falls under the New Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, where BJP’s Bansuri Swaraj secured a significant win over AAP’s Somnath Bharti in the 2024 general elections, with a margin of 78,370 votes.
Kejriwal had previously won the 2015 Assembly polls, defeating BJP’s Nupur Sharma and Congress’ Kiran Walia by nearly 32,000 votes. His political debut in 2013 saw him unseat three-time Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit of Congress with a margin of over 25,000 votes.
Since 1977, Congress has won this seat four times, while AAP has secured victory on three occasions.
