After spending hundreds, if not thousands of dollars testing different scripts and angles You’ve finally found a winning creative that’s absolutely crushing it? YES? Congrats, but it won’t last long, because the algo is going to hate it after a few days on TikTok and a few weeks (if you are lucky) on Facebook.
How do you keep your winning creative alive and continue making that lambo money? The short answer is HOOKS!
But how do you come up with tons of hooks, every single month?
Here are some methods I’ve come up with that my team uses to scale the s*** out of our campaigns to multiple five figures per day.
1. Use the TRENDS on X.com to guide you.
X.com is like a live insight into what people are talking about right now, all you have to do is login to the site and check what’s trending, which are the top hashtags. Then get ideas from there. For example, if you see tons of NFL players showing up in the top 5, then try NFL related hooks. They should be funny, shocking, bizarre or straight up WTF in order to get the best CTR results!
You can also dig deeper into individual trending topics to see what type of content makes people engage. Try to click on a hashtag or trend and analyze the top posts, what tone are they using? Are they meme worthy, informative, or polarizing? Use these clues to create hooks that feel natural and blends into your content. For example, if a specific player or team is trending because of a viral moment, try to build a hook around that moment.
If your niche isn’t directly tied to the trending topic, think creatively about how to link it. For instance, if an NFL trend dominates but your product is fitness related, you could make a hook like, “Train like the prosm fuel your game with !” or something like that.
2. Find out what is being celebrated today using sites like https://www.nationaldaycalendar.com/what-day-is-it
Every single day it’s a celebration. You probably heard people say today is national ____________ day. I don’t know about you, but I have no damn clue what day is what.. so I rely on sites like this. There’s many others like nationaldaycalendar, ask ChatGPT for a list… but this one is pretty solid.. hit up the site, check whats up then goto youtube and search for viral clips using the “They should be funny, shocking, bizarre or straight up WTF method”
Once you’ve identified a specific day, brainstorm hooks that creatively tie your campaign to the celebration. For example, if it’s National Coffee Day, you could start your ad with, “It’s the day coffee lovers have been waiting for, celebrate with this!” Or if it’s something bizarre like National Unicorn Day, craft a hook that plays into the humor, like, “Don’t let this magical day pass without trying !”
You can also take a step further and combine these hooks with trending memes or challenges to make your content even better, more engageing. For example, pair a National Pancake Day reference with a funny “stack ’em high” visual or a viral pancake flipping fail video to grab their attention.
3. Check Youtube Trending at https://www.youtube.com/feed/trending
YouTube Trending is one of the easiest ways to find what’s capturing the most attention across a massive audience. With youtube trends you can easily get inspiration for hooks because the content there is already proven to engage millions of viewers. Whether it’s a viral music video, a hilarious prank, or an insightful commentary, you can use these trends as a ‘foundation ”template” for creating hooks that will work.
When exploring the trending page, pay close attention to the titles, thumbnails, and themes that dominate. Ask yourself: Why is this content popular? Is it funny, shocking, inspiring, or completely unexpected? Take those elements and apply them to your own hooks. For instance, if a celebrity interview is trending, consider how you might create a similar vibe, like teasing behind-the-scenes details or bold statements in your ad.
You can also look at trending challenges, reaction videos, or viral moments for ideas. Let’s say a new challenge is blowing up, your hook could reference it directly: “Before you do the [viral challenge], check this out!” or “The only thing crazier than [challenge name] is this deal…”
4. Reddit, Reddit, Reddit
https://redditlist.com/ has quick look into trends too.
Reddit is a goldmine! It is packed with engaged communities discussing just about anything you can imagine. Visit RedditList to see which subreddits are trending and explore their top posts. Look for what’s getting the most upvotes and comments, this will show you what people care about right now.
Focus on content that aligns with your niche. For example, if you’re in the fitness space, check out subreddits like r/fitness or r/mealprepsunday for ideas. Pay attention to recurring questions, jokes, or discussions. Use those insights to create hooks that speak directly to those audiences.
5. Google Trends – USA

Using Google Trends is probably the easiest way to find what people are searching for in real time. Use the “Trending Now” section to find popular topics, keywords, and events. These insights can help you create hooks that feel relevant and truly up-to-date.
Start by filtering trends based on your audience’s interests or location. For example, if you’re targeting sports fans, look for spikes in searches related to major games or player news. If your product is health related, check for trends like seasonal illnesses or popular fitness routines. Once you identify a trend, brainstorm ways to connect it to your campaign.
Google Trends also lets you compare search terms over time. This can help you spot patterns and plan hooks for future events or recurring trends. For example, if “Black Friday deals” starts trending weeks before the actual day, use that to your advantage and create hooks early to stay ahead.
